Originally from Buenos Aires, Argentina, Liliana came to the United States at the age of 19. She studied painting and drawing at the University of Arizona, where she received her B.A. in Fine Art.
For a number of years her interest in art was subordinated to a career in the medical field. But she never lost her sensitivity for the arts nor her deep desire to someday be able to paint full time. She has spent the last 10 years fulfilling her dream in both watercolor and oil.
Liliana enjoys oil painting "en plein air", meaning outdoors on location. She takes great pride in executing even the larger sizes plein air. Painting outdoors forces the artist to be able to paint quickly trying to capture the light. She is a wonderful colorist, and her work has it's own live and style, unlike a lot of other artists who are working outdoors. People respond to her work by saying it makes them feel happy, and energized.
Liliana is a member of Watercolor West, Artist member of Oil Painters of America, the Laguna Plein Air Painters, and the California Art Club.
California Art Gallery has been her exclusive representative since 1997. Liliana's paintings are in many private and corporate art collections in the United States.
